At Atelier Modern, we have always believed that collecting art is deeply personal. The pieces we choose to live with become markers of time, memory, and emotion. They remind us of places we've been, people we've loved, and moments we never want to forget.
This summer, we're celebrating that connection with our upcoming Summer Playlist exhibition—a curated collection of works inspired by the way music becomes the soundtrack to our lives.
Everyone has songs that instantly transport them. A melody heard on a road trip. A favorite record played endlessly during a particular season. A lyric that captures a feeling better than words ever could. Much like art, music has the power to stop time and bring us back to a specific moment.
The Summer Playlist exhibition explores the relationship between visual art and sound. Each work carries its own rhythm, mood, and emotional resonance, creating a collection that feels both deeply personal and universally familiar. Some pieces evoke the energy of long summer evenings, while others capture quieter moments of reflection and nostalgia. As part of the exhibition, all participating artists were invited to pair their artwork with music that inspired them, influenced the creative process, or deepened the meaning behind the work. By sharing the songs, artists offer viewers another layer of connection—an opportunity to experience the art through both sight and sound. The result is a collection that celebrates the powerful ways music and art shape our memories, spark emotion, and become part of our personal stories.
The exhibition also reflects an evolution happening at Atelier Modern. Increasingly, our clients are looking for more than simply finding the perfect piece on the gallery walls. They are seeking artworks that tell their stories, reflect their homes, and become part of their lives in a meaningful way.
In response, we are expanding our bespoke offerings. Whether sourcing a specific artist, creating a tailored collection for a home, commissioning custom work, or helping clients discover pieces inspired by a particular place, memory, or favorite song, we are embracing a more personalized approach to collecting.
This season, we are thrilled to extend that philosophy beyond the visual arts through a unique collaboration with singer-songwriter Korby Lenker, offering clients the opportunity to commission bespoke songs inspired by their own stories, relationships, and meaningful life moments. Like a carefully chosen work of art, these one-of-a-kind compositions become lasting expressions of personal history and connection. We love helping clients build collections that feel uniquely their own—collections rooted in memory, emotion, and the experiences that shape who we are.
Summer Playlist is an invitation to experience art the same way we experience music—not just as something we see or hear, but as something we feel.
We invite you to join us for this special exhibition and discover the pieces that might become part of your own soundtrack of the season.
