Summer Playlist
ON VIEW JUNE 30 - SEPTEMBER 8
About the Exhibition
There are songs that belong to summer β not just songs you hear in summer, but songs that are summer. They find you at a certain age, in a certain place, and from then on they carry the whole season with them: the light, the heat, the feeling that anything could happen.
Summer Playlist is Atelier Modern's love letter to that experience. This invitational exhibition gathers twelve artists from our community and asks them to bring the energy of a summer song into their work β bold color, vivid feeling, the kind of brightness that lifts you. Each piece is accompanied by the song its maker chose for it, and together they form a soundtrack as well as a show.
Featuring work by Adina Andrus, Amanda Arbeter, Melissa Benedek, Joseph Dermody, Debra Graham, Gali Katz, Jill Krutick, Sarah Mallin, Sushma Shadaksharappa, Sonjie Feliciano Solomon, and Priya Tambe β Summer Playlist is a celebration of a community we are proud to call our own.
Opening Reception: Saturday, August 8th, 4-6pm
