Acrylic on wood panel. 24x24. 2026
Assembled Terrain is an imagined landscape built through an intuitive process of layering and reconstruction. The painting begins as a free flowing field of colors, later pieced together through a woven visual texture created with acrylic paint. Interlacing marks and grid-like patterns bind the composition, suggesting both fabric and terrain, something simultaneously natural and constructed. The color palette is drawn directly from nature, evoking shifting landforms, water, and vegetation without depicting a specific place. Through this assembly of fragments, the work explores how landscapes are remembered, reorganized, and felt rather than observed.
