"Purple Splash" is a watercolor painting that is an eco work, changing as it ages. My Works on Paper series began as a way to push my process in a new direction — combining ink, water, and paper to explore how color can move and transform. I was searching for a more instinctive way to express texture and motion, and found something that felt alive. A lot of these pieces are inspired by my time scuba diving. I try to capture the imagery of the great deep and all the different life forms The flicker of fish disappearing, strange shapes in coral, the way light bends and color shifts. It’s part memory, part imagination. Each piece is its own little dive into the unknown.
