About the Exhibition
Each artist approaches the theme from a deeply personal place: Handler turns his signature figuration toward family and loved ones; Reinhardt asks what a portrait can be when no figure is present, finding the human trace in light, memory, and lived experience; and Wysocki explores the formative landscape of childhood through paintings and immersive installations.
Together, their works offer three distinct but resonant answers to the question of how we picture the people and the moments that define us.

Antoinette Wysocki
Antoinette Wysocki's intention is to create abstract paintings that indulge in materials and focus on the expressive process itself. Balanced with details of organic imagery, evocative symbols and text, to address overall subjective translation and perception while addressing impediments of memory association. She's worked to develop a process combining various materials, chance, control and analysis. Read more...

Adam Handler
Adam Handler was born in NYC and grew up on Long Island, NY. As a young child and adolescent, he spent countless hours at his grandparents' framing factory in Brooklyn. There, his passion for the arts grew and it became inevitable that he too would discover the many possibilities of art.
Artist
Jenny Flexner Reinhardt
Jenny spent her formative years in Washington DC. She earned BA in English Literature from the University of Michigan followed by an MFA, Cum Laude at The New York Academy of Art. After teaching studio art and Art History early in her career, Jenny now works full-time in her studio, located in the Valley Arts District in Orange, New Jersey.
