A harmonious conversation between materiality and imagery
Atelier Modern proudly presents an inspiring exhibition bringing together the luminous glass artistry of Grace Chepenik and the impressionistic paintings of Bryan Greene. This unique pairing explores nature's vitality and transformation through two distinct yet deeply connected artistic languages.
Grace Chepenik's glass creations are infused with the spirit of her Florida roots and her experiences in South Florida and abroad. Through bold color, fluid form, and expressive surfaces, her work honors the energy and resilience of natural environments. Drawing inspiration from the ocean's delicate wonders (jellyfish, shark's teeth, and shells), Chepenik's glass sculptures capture the translucence and movement of marine life, transforming fragile moments of nature into enduring, radiant forms.
In dialogue with Chepenik's glasswork, Bryan Greene's impressionistic paintings reflect nature's cycles through imagery of waterfalls, seeds grounded in the earth reaching skyward, and balloons ascending into the atmosphere. His work evokes growth, transformation, and the poetic balance between earth and air, rendered in vibrant brushstrokes that pulse with life.
Together, their works create a harmonious conversation between materiality and imagery, solidity and fluidity, earth and sky. The exhibition at Atelier Modern invites viewers to experience a shared celebration of the natural world's beauty and resilience, conveyed through the radiant clarity of glass and the expressive freedom of paint.

Grace Chepenik
Grace Chepenik is a Florida-based artist working in blown glass and painting, whose work celebrates the energy of nature and the connections between spirit and world. Her dynamic pieces draw on forms such as orchids, shells, foliage, and other organic elements, using color, light, and movement to evoke the living essence of her subjects. A native of Jacksonville, Florida, Chepenik first pursued painting before discovering glassblowing in 2018, a medium that deeply transformed her artistic voice. She holds a BFA in Sculpture and Painting from the University of Miami and serves as Hot Shop Manager at the Benzaiten Center for Creative Arts in Lake Worth Beach.

Bryan Greene
Bryan Michael Greene (b. 1973) holds an MFA in Digital Painting and Animation (2006) and a BFA in Fine Art (2002) from School of Visual Arts in New York. Since graduating, he has kept a studio practice at Arts Westchester in White Plains, NY. His abstracts follow a dripped-paint process: each painting starts with a looping mark that descends down the canvas, then color is added to the outline, sometimes light-to-dark in value, sometimes in hue. Highlights are added in gold leaf, lettering enamel, and gel mediums. Greene has exhibited widely, including at Atelier Modern, Red Fox Contemporary, Fountain House Gallery, and The Arts Westchester.
