Rachael Grimm grew up in the northwest of England and moved to the U.S. in 1996, after getting her degree from the University of Glasgow, Scotland, in English Literature and Art History. She trained at the Art Students League in New York from 1996-2000, specializing in figure painting in oil.

Rachael is an award-winning watercolorist and has exhibited her work widely in the U.S. and U.K. Her
work has been displayed in numerous fine art publications including Watercolor Artist and The Best of Watercolor magazines. One of her charcoals was selected as a finalist in Strokes of Genius 16: the Best of Drawing Art Competition. Her paintings are featured in an 8-page article and on the cover of the December 2020 issue of Watercolor Artist magazine. Her painting, ‘At the MoMA’ won the Samuel Leitman Award at the American Watercolor Society exhibition in 2025.

Jane has been riding horses for as long as she can remember. From childhood lessons and trail rides to gymkhanas and equestrian holidays. Jane trained as an instructor with the British Horse Society and spent six years exercising the horses of the British Army’s Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment. In more recent years, her focus has been on dressage, training at yards in London, Toronto, and New York, and winning a few ribbons along the way.

Combining her passion for horses with her love of photography has been a dream come true. As an award-winning photographer, her equine photography has taken her to the wild horses of the Camargue, the Maryland coastline, Costa Rica, the remote islands of Scotland, the Exmoor ponies of the Sussex Downs, and a sanctuary in southern Ontario dedicated to preserving the rare Kiger breed.

Matthew uses oil paint to create engaging, realistic still life pieces. He uses oil on panel to realistically capture the image of every day items, celebrating the light, color, and form of the things we find in our pantry, refrigerator, or bar. He transforms the mundane to the iconic to celebrate the little things that spark joy in our lives.

Matthew’s detail oriented realism uses a traditional approach, or indirect painting, while presenting a contemporary approach to composition and color.

Matthew studied architecture at the University of Maryland where he earned his Bachelor of Science and Master of Architecture. Matthew practiced architecture in Washington, DC until in 2021 he decided to do what makes him happiest: oil painting. He has since shown his work in galleries and shows in Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Florida, and New York.
