Description

Acrylic, oil pastel on canvas, maple frame. 60 x 48 inches.

I mixed this painting like a cocktail for your walls — equal parts wonder and joy, warmed by companionship, shaken with movement, and topped with a twist of light. A shoreline you can feel, birds full of energy (they know it’s Happy Hour), and that summer-dusk magic that makes you thank God you stopped to enjoy it.

Frank is coming in hot with his Manhattan — classic, confident, first one to the bar. Betty’s right behind him, opting for an Aperol spritz because she’s festive like that. George’s already heading out, loyal to his Guinness and marching to his own rhythm. A few more are circling above — the “might stop by” crew — deciding if they’re ready to land or just enjoy the view a little longer.

For me, birds are always about freedom: grace, ease, and that go-with-the-flow energy we all crave more of. Happy Hour is a celebration of that feeling — connection, contentment, and the joy of showing up exactly as you are. Healing beach vibes, poured generously in the middle of winter.
