I wanted to capture the architecture of a small towns in Italy and their tight community of buildings, home and sense of 'place'.  This painting draws you into it's small winding streets, stucco buildings and golden roofs glistening in the summer heat.

Rich earth tones against warm pinks are reminiscent of the Tuscan Region. I want the viewer to be drawn to the layered buildings and immediately be transported to an Italian village. The metallic paint layers on the building rooftops change with the natural light in the space and enhance the paintings depth.
