Description

Acrylic Paint on Canvas. 79"x67" Each. One of a 2-part series.

This diptych unfolds as a collective passage—a layered procession of bodies moving through time. Figures emerge in fragments, not as individuals, but as echoes of many—drawn, erased, redrawn—each one part of a larger, unfolding chorus.
The left panel crowds with motion, as if generations press forward at once, arms reaching, gestures overlapping. The right loosens, yet the faces multiply—sketched in loops, shared expressions rippling across space like memory made visible.
Like Walt Whitman’s ferry riders, these figures speak across time. Their presence is not fixed, but felt—an accumulation of crossings, of histories carried forward. They are less portraits than imprints, asking not to be seen fully, but to be remembered.
