Blown Glass. 8 x 4.5in. 2026.
Blown glass conch shell. With my background in painting, I have a lot of fun layering glass colors to try to almost paint with my colors to make these shells as realistic as possible. I put pinks and whites on the inside layer and then layers of different size glass frits and powders to achieve the pattern. I pull each point while the glass is hot with tweezers and then will flip the piece to its other side to cut and and manipulate the glass to create this conch form.
